HERBSTMILCH was in 1988 the 1st movie of German Director Joseph Vilsmaier. The long collaboration between him and Enjott Schneider (other movies for example STALINGRAD or SCHLAFES BRUDER) startet with this highly peotic film about the hard life of a farmers wife in the Second World War. The maintheme is here played not with the original violoncello, but with the panpipe.
