Introduction: The 2012 version for organ with two players was transformed into a virtuoso composition for solo organ in 2015. This passionate collection of popular choral melodies by Martin Luther is to be played at a fast pace or with excessive pace variations. The central theme is the piece „Eine feste Burg ist unser Gott“ (Our God is a solid fortress) that can be recognized throughout the performance as the powerful head motif in ritornello with a soft lyrical design toward the end. The part in the middle is the quiet choral variation of „Verleih uns Frieden gnädiglich“ (Give us peace, graciously). The audience is invited to try and find out all of the other quotes taken from Luther's chorals.
