Introduction: The CD was released on the occasion of Enjott Schneider's 75th birthday: a philosophical sum of his life, combining two solo concertos with the 40-minute Symphony No. 8 THE BELL, in which all facets from instrumental symphonic music to Musica Sacra - in the final ‘Da Pacem’ - are included. The CD clearly documents Enjott's compositional CCC ‘Cross Culture Composing’: there is communication in the historical dimension of the music of the past (for example with William Byrd or Carlo Gesualdo), there is contact with other - e.g. Asian - cultures in a geographical dimension. The mythological takes up a great deal of space. Outstanding soloists, a top choir and an admirably inspired orchestra under the direction of Gabriel Venzago guarantee an exciting listening experience.
